Taastrupgaard

In Taastrupgaard, a large public housing development in Taastrup, an extensive renovation is underway. Here, 30 blocks are to be upgraded with a focus on sustainability, energy efficiency and better resource management. A key objective is to ensure that green technologies such as photovoltaics, energy storage and heat management play optimally together to create a future-proof housing stock.

VisBlue has delivered a 10kW flow battery with SmartFlow — an intelligent management tool that optimises energy consumption by applying data on weather, energy prices and residents' consumption patterns. The battery stores excess solar energy for later use and ensures that the energy is best used across Taastrupgaard's green solutions. The project starts in the test block Block 85 and becomes the foundation for the rest of the area.

Thanks to the VisBlue flow battery and SmartFlow, a significant decrease in energy consumption and CO₂ emissions is expected in Block 85 — a saving that brings both economic and climate benefits for the housing company. When the renovation includes all 30 blocks by 2030, the total savings will be significantly greater.
